Job Description:

Join our team at Eye Surgery Center of Nashville as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Work Monday - Thursday with occasional half day Fridays in a single specialty Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery Center in downtown Nashville.

  Assists surgical team during operative procedures, arranging and inventories sterile set-up for operation, and passes items as needed to the operating team.
  
  
  • 
    
  • Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to surgery
    
  • Demonstrates ability to meet patient's and family's learning needs as identified in the plan of care.
    
  • Assists with receipt and distribution of central supply, floor stock, office and stock supplies and rental equipment.
    
  • Properly processes instruments and trays
    
  • Utilizes appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to perform relevant cleaning functions on a variety of surfaces and finishes.
    
    Requirements include:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Licenses or Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support Course within 6 months of hire, Certified Scrub Tech or LPN
      
    • Preferred two years' experience as OR tech.
      
    • Ability to efficiently and effectively assist physician with operative procedure.
      
    • Ability to set priorities.
      
    • Knowledge of inventory/stock procedures.
      
    • Excellent organizational skills
