Job Description:

qualified Med/Surg RN in Smyrna, Tennessee, 37167 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical
Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 19:00-07:00
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years in
Med-Surg; 1 year of RN experience required License: Active RN
license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) optional Must-Have: - 1 year of
Medical/Surgical experience - Ability to quickly learn and adapt -
Strong assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and time
management skills Job Description: - Work in a 54-bed unit with a
dedicated ortho/spine section - Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6
for RNs and 1:12-15 for PCTs, with RN/LPN teams managing 10
patients - Utilize equipment such as Alaris pumps, remote
telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, specialty beds, and more -
Use Meditech for documentation - Participate in flexible scheduling
with at least one weekend shift every 4 weeks - Float within unit's
discretion as needed - Provide care for all medical-surgical,
orthopedic, spine, trauma, and psych medical hold patients -
Perform general and specialized medical procedures specific to the
unit, including post-catheterizations, laparoscopic surgeries,
stable traumas, dialysis, and more - Wear grey scrubs in accordance
with the required dress code - Engage in a supportive unit culture
that values teamwork, consistent communication, and flexibility -
Access new medical technologies such as bladder scanners and
12-Lead EKG machines - Benefit from a positive work environment
