The RN-Wound Care position involves providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in Wound Care settings. Candidates must hold a nursing degree, possess critical thinking skills, and be capable of working in high-pressure environments. BLS certification and a valid RN license are required, with a preference for wound care certification and prior experience in nursing.
Description:
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and
standards of practice in Wound Care
Reports to: Program Director Wound CareQualifications:
Minimum Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing - Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.
Certifications:
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be
current upon hire.
Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure - Required
Wound Care Certification - Preferred
Minimum Work Experience
1 year nursing experience in Medical/Surgical, Homecare or Wound care - Preferred
