Location: Brentwood, TN 37027 (Hybrid 2 days/week onsite)
Duration: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $65-$70/hr
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Skillset / Experience:
This position is responsible for the technical solution delivery of IT analytical projects that include designs, develops, builds, reviews, and tests solutions. Apply data science, data engineering, analytical problem-solving knowledge, AI/ML experimentation and experience in combination to interact with stakeholders and identify new insights and opportunities, develop innovative propositions, contribute to intellectual property, and build and pilot first-of-a-kind demonstrators. Position plays a critical role in shaping the innovation agenda and a thought leader on Data Science across the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Effectively communicate the analytics approach and how it will meet and address objectives to business partners.
Apply analytic approaches; integrate solutions collaboratively into applications and tools with data engineers, architects, business leads, analysts, and developers.
Create repeatable, interpretable, dynamic, and scalable models seamlessly incorporated into analytic data products .
Work in a collaborative, production-facing codebase that has close coupling with cross functional teams.
Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns, draw conclusions and gain actionable insights.
Gathering data science requirements that ensure the models developed fit the business needs and apply to our SDLC.
Apply the appropriate machine learning algorithm to data problems (e.g. supervised vs. unsupervised machine learning, clustering, ensemble methods, etc.), validate model results.
Ability to work and communicate statistical concepts with both technical and non-technical partners to influence product and data science roadmap.
Synthesize findings, prepare presentations and assist in presenting findings to all levels of management and apply statistical concepts to surfaced business problems.
Provide framework/methodology for measurement and feedback mechanism for models.

Qualifications
Required 3+ years' experience in building and implementing business insights using AI/ML/DL.
Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, and Machine Learning/Deep Learning.
Expertise with at least one data visualization tool, preference: Power BI.
Proficiency in Machine Learning, Statistical and Reporting tools (Databricks, Python, R, SQL, Power BI).
Knowledge of applying AI/ML/DL methods and algorithms across retail areas such as forecasting, pricing, supply chain cost optimization, and inventory management.
Proven expertise to drive business results, including implementing the solution.
Knowledge of Deep Learning and Neural Networks, and its applications in Retail
Strong experience working in Azure platform.
Proficiency in developing and deploying machine learning models at scale.
Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML pipelines.
Familiarity with MLflow for experiment tracking and model management.
Proficiency in working with diverse data types on cloud platforms.

Recommended Minimum of 3 years' experience with a Master's degree, 5 years' of work experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, and Statistics/Mathematics or related fields.
Knowledge of Agile software development.
Experience with cloud data infrastructure and building things in a repeatable, scalable way on Databricks.
Passion to communicate business value through data; curiosity to learn and experiment based on A/B methods.
Experience in software development.
Exposure to the retail industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Other knowledge, skills or abilities: Knowledge of Statistics and Statistical Modeling
Optimization experience that could include, Combinatorial Optimization, Cardinality Algorithms, and Retrieval Augmented Generation, Image Recognition, Agentic AI
Statistical foundation and knowledge of statistical packages. Proficient with Python and SQL coding skills. This person will be responsible for writing complex production-level codes
Communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions
