Job Description:

Clean harbors/Safety Kleen in Decatur, AL is looking for a Environmental Technician/ Forklift Operator to work at customer locations, and to join their safety conscious team! This team member is responsible for the successful execution of Bulk Consolidation and assisting with waste disposal, testing water, spills and various other responsibilities. The Insite Technician serves with creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers.

Summary:

• Offloads, palletizes, reloads material using forklift
• Coordinates loads between hubs, plants, and outbound destinations.
• Ensures transportation efficiency and maintain compliance with our storage permits.
• Dispatches transportation from hubs.
• Assists on tracking of manifest return timelines.
• Maintains Hub Database (Outlook and Hub Management).

  • Proficiency in Windows based applications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform multi tasks.
  • Strong communication skills.
    
    Other Physical Demands instructions:
    
    
    • Climb on and off forklifts.
    • Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waist.
    • Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force.
    • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical.
    • 10 pushups, deep knee squats and sit-ups (to determine if fit).
    • Good hand/eye coordination.
    • Move a drum weighing up to 800 lbs with a drum dolly.
    • Moving a flex bin weighing up to 1500 lbs with a palette jack.
      
      Qualifications:

      • Valid Drivers license
      • Computer skills
      • 6+ months of equipment operating experience preferred.
      • Experience with excavator and or haul trucks preferred.
      • Ability to work in team environment.
